Guilty

I am guilty of sending my daughter to daycare although she vomited this morning.

Our childcare centre has a policy that says if your child has been sick, or has a temperature, it should stay at home for 48 hours.

She felt good afterward being sick, and claimed she wished to go. I know for a fact that >3 children at that centre have been vomiting (that means, have had the virus), and I am convinced she contracted it there. Meaning it's out in the open anyways. I don't see the need of keeping kids for 48 hours at home after vomiting, usually such minor deseases are infectious before they show anyways. If not, we wouldn't contract it in the first place.

BTW: she was a happy little girl for the whole day, didn't feel sick, played a lot and nobody said a thing.

  1. I've done it. Sometimes they just have random puking episodes.

  2. I've done it too. Usually it is just mucus from some sinus thing and not a real stomach thing.

Our center's policy is 2 or more puking episodes then they have to stay home for 24 hours after the last one.
